Autumn Nail Polish Picks

So autumn is upon us in full and with it comes the most amazing array of natural colours!  My nail polish has been reflecting all the colours that I love about this season and I wanted to share them with you!

L-R: Revlon Emerald City, MUA Shade 23, Nails inc. Hampstead gardens, Models Own Copper Pot, Barry M Copper, Essie Wicked, No7 Salsa, Models Own Purple Blue Beetle Juice, Maybelline Couture Grey, Rimmel Azteque, Barry M Mushroom, Butter London Wallis, Bourjois Jaune Trendy

The greens: Revlon Emerald City and MUA Shade 23.  This Revlon nail polish is a gorgeous rich green that sparkles but dried to a matte finish! The MUA colour may look a bit weird and everyone thats seen it has no idea why I like it but its such a lovely khaki shade and looks amazing on my nails! And at £1 its an absolute bargain!!

The yellow neutrals: Barry M's mushroom is a really nice muted brown- its super easy to paint on when you don't know what colour you want your nails to be but don't want them completely bare.  I bought the Bourjois Jaune Trendy when I wanted a slightly brighter mustard shade than Nails inc. Hampstead Gardens. These three shades will make good colours to do a giraffe nail print!

The reds: Rimmel's Azteque is not as pink as its showing up in the photo- its more of a terracotta coral.  Its almost neutral on me but with just enough colour to make my nails fabulous! Salsa by No7 has a gorgeous subtle shimmer that reminds me of Dorothy's shoes from the Wizard of Oz and Wicked by Essie is the most gorgeous blood red! Its dark, vampy and perfect for this season!

The golds: Wallis is my first Butter London nail polish and at first I was disappointed   I've heard so many good things about Butter London and how opaque they are after 1 coat but Wallis is a very fine olive gold glitter and needs 2-3 coats before you can see its true beauty.  Once opaque its GORGEOUS!! Its such a unique colour and my sister has dubbed my nails 'leprechaun' nails after she saw me with this on hehe! Copper pot and copper are beautiful bronzed golds but the Models Own is more of an all over shimmer while Barry M chose minute glitter particles.

The last two colours are gorgeous on there own as well as layered on top of each-other   Couture Grey is a gunmetal grey with a silver micro-shimmer going through it- I love it when I want to have dark but not blackened nail polish on.  I bought Beetle juice buy Models Own partly because of its name lol! Its the most amazing duo chrome colour that looks purple-blue at first glance but has gold, pink and green running through it.  Models Own are remarkable for these micro-shimmer duo chromes but they need a lot of layering before they are opaque, so either use them as a shimmery topcoat or place a base colour underneath!

What do you think of my choices for this season? Do you have any nail colours that you love wearing at this time of year?

Love xx
