There have been soo many wonderful blushes that Ive had my eye on for a while and in the spirit of spring they are all a bit bright! Lets just say that my cheeks will be awash with colour this season :)

These new blush pallets by Sleek are phenomenal! The pigment, the colour range, the versatility! There are five pallets but I only wanted two. You have to check them out to understand the wonder of these!

L-R: P Pie, Squash and Lantern
P Pie is a shimmery peachy pink, Squash is a gorgeous pink and Lantern is a matt orange.  If you missed out on the Aruba collection and really wanted the blush, then Lantern is an exact dupe! 'Pumpkin' is possibly my favourite pallet of them all! I think it would be perfect to take on holiday because of the range of colours.

L-R: Pinktini, Pink Ice and Pink Parfait
I picked up the 'Pink Sprint' pallet because of a sudden need to have pink flushed cheeks as soon as the sun made an appearance.  All the shades are matte and the pigment of these is extreme! I literally tap my brush lightly on the surface and have to blend blend blend!

Swatches: TOP L-R: P Pie, Squash and Lantern.  BOTTOM L-R: Pinktini, Pink Ice and Pink Parfait

Let me know if you've picked any of these up and what you think about them!

Glossybox Harrods Edition

I've been seeing a lot about beauty boxes for a while now but have never taken the plunge.  I've always thought that the boxes were just a bit too hit and miss! Essentially you would have paid for free samples of products that you wouldn't like or even want.

However, when I saw that Glossybox was releasing a limited edition Harrods box I gave in and signed up!  I was disappointed when I first opened the box because I really wanted the mini Burberry lipstick and Fan di Fendi perfume sample.  But upon inspection I'm rather enjoying the products I received...

 VALENTINO- Valentia Eau de Parfume

I've got to say that I love this scent! Its described as a feminine classic with a twist of Italian, oriental, floral fragrance- its gorgeous and I'm considering adding this to my perfume wishlist

SHU UEMURA- Cleansing Beauty Oil

I've tried the MAC version of this and didn't like it one bit so I was a bit apprehensive about trying this out.  The step-by-step instructions were very useful on how to use it and I was pleasantly surprised!  It removed my make-up with ease and left my skin super soft.  I would have liked to be able to try it again though.

MOLTON BROWN- Vitalising Vitamin AB+C Bath and Shower

I have never liked Molton Brown products because of their fragrance.  But I have needed new bubble bath and this one is supposed to 'boost the skin and invigorate the senses' so I'm looking forward to trying this out

LANCOME- Hypnose Drama Mascara

Firstly let me just say that this mini tube of mascara makes me very excited! And I love the make-up on the lady on the front of the box!

I've used this mascara twice now and I'm slightly in love with it! It adds length, volume and doesn't clump up my lashes! I'm in the process of sampling a few mascaras but so far this one is amazing! See my previous post to look at how gorgeous my lashes look when wering this :)

CLARINS- Extra firming body cream

I have quite firm skin already so I'm not sure how much I'm going to like this product.  But I always welcome a new body cream to try- especially now that I'm losing weight it may come in handy sooner than I think!

SKII- Skin Signature

This product is the only one I'm not pleased with.  Its an anti-ageing cream, but since I'm only 23 I don't see me using this anytime soon! I haven't opened it so I'll probably end up giving it to someone else.  If you or someone you know would like to try it them let me know and I'll send it to you!

Overall I really enjoyed my Glossybox this month but will be giving it a 3 month trial before I decide to continue or stop my subscription.  Either way, so far so good- cant wait to see what come in next months box!

Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? What did you think of the Harrods limited edition one?

The Wonderful Sound of the Cinema Organ

A few nights ago I was invited to go to an event in Leeds.  I didn't really know what I was in for but decided to keep an open mind about it and boy was I pleasantly surprised!

This is what their website says about their music:

'The Wonderful Sound of the Cinema Organ present a unique sonic and visual experience, bringing the nostalgic warmth of vintage jazz influences and archive footage projections right up to date with a captivating and highly danceable contemporary edge.
With an all-live setup comprising string, vocal, horn and rhythm sections, the band shift seamlessly from haunting melodies and rich textures through to hypnotic, floor-shaking drum & bass and dubstep grooves, in an intoxicating display of musicianship and imagination.'

This band is definitely made up of some of the nicest people I've ever met! They are a fun mix of eclectic characters and an unusual (for me) style of music!  During their performance there was a montage of old black and white movies on the wall behind them.  Most of the clips were that of people dancing and having a great time! Whoever put it together timed it perfectly to the bands music.  They may be an acquired taste, but it was such an interesting evening and I'm glad I had the opportunity to see them live :) Plus I got a CD of their music, which you can download free form their website here.

My face for the evening consisted of: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation in No10, Chanel Poudre Universelle Compacte 40 Dore-Translucent 3, MAC Studio finish and Prolongwear concealer- both in NW45, NARS Taj Mahal Blush layered on top of Sleek Lantern (from the Blush by 3- Pumpkin trio)

Eyes: Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in 001 Dark Brown, MAC Fresh Daily e/s(all over my lids) and Brash e/s(in my crease) from the 'Call Me Bubbles' Shop MAC quad, Maybelline Liner Express in Noir/Black, Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in excessive black

Lips: Accessorize Lipstick shade 8 in Pink Pleasure

Please excuse the 'time of the month' breakouts ;)

Have you discovered and loved a new band recently? If so please leave a comment below so I can check them out :)
